How to sign in DigiLocker app and downloading documents.
DigiLocker app is a "digital locker" service operated by the Government of India that enables Indian citizens to store certain official documents on the cloud. The service is aimed towards reducing the need to carry physical documents and is part of the government's Digital India initiative.
So, today we are going to see how to register for DigLocker mobile app or digital India app and downloading different documents like driving license, pan card, Aadhaar card, registration of vehicles, etc. First of all download digilocker app from Play store for android and from app store for Iphone. After installing open the app for sign-in;
On the first page click sign up option;
Enter your mobile number;
Enter the OTP and verify the phone number;
Enter your email-id and set a strong password;
After successful registration you will see this screen;
First of all, we are going to link our Aadhaar card with the account;
click on the link your 'Aadhaar now';
Enter your Aadhaar number and click in the consent box;
After clicking continue you will be prompted to enter OTP in the next window( Since my Aadhaar is already linked I can't show you guys the screenshot);
After entering OTP your Aadhaar number will be linked with the DigiLocker app.
Now, let us issue a virtual pan card using the DigiLocker app;
Click on the issued option;
Click on the search button below;
From the given option, scroll down and select INCOME TAX DEPARTMENT, GOVT OF INDIA, ALL STATES. In the drop-down menu select PAN Verification Record;
Enter your PAN number and Name, same as written on PAN Card. Select the consent box and your PAN Card will be issued in your DigiLocker app.
In this way, you can download different documents virtually.
Now if you want to download any document related to Driving License, Vehicle Insurance Certificate, Registration of vehicles, Vehicle Tax Receipt of any state in India, search and select the MINISTRY OF ROAD TRANSPORT and HIGHWAYS, ALL STATES.
To get your Driving License select the option from the drop-down menu and on the next window you will be asked to fill your driving license number and name of your person in blood relation you have given in your driving license form, select the consent box and VOILA!
